The Organization Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) points out that research has been done to identify the worldwide population affected by ADHD disorder.
In the results it is shown that based on their meta - analysis done to 175 studies worldwide ADHD prevalence is shown to affect 7.2% of children under the age of 18.
DSM-IV adult ADHD in the “World Health Organization World Mental Health Survey Initiative” shows that after their screening done to 11,422 adults for ADHD in 10 countries in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East, the estimates of worldwide adult ADHD prevalence averaged 3.4%
